The Service Delivery team within IT has been growing this year, with three new members. Service Desk Technicians Brooke, Mark, and Tim may be new to the IT Service Delivery team, but they bring many years of experience in IT.
Mark’s favorite part of being a Service Desk Technician is working with friendly people. He joined the BVSD team a mere three months ago from Northrop Grumman. He is not, however, a newbie to IT. He has been working in the IT environment for more than 19 years. Originally from Arizona, Mark wanted to be an NBA pro basketball player when he was growing up and he’s definitely tall enough to play in the NBA! Outside of work, Mark enjoys listening to and playing music, drawing/art, playing basketball, making all sorts of delicious things to eat, and picking people’s brains.
When she was younger, Brooke’s dream job was to be an astronaut and it still is! Brooke was born and raised in Colorado. She officially joined the IT team in September of last year but has been working in the IT department on and off for 6 years in a variety of jobs including summer intern and assisting with the website transitions to SharePoint. She loves the speed of her new job, as there is never a dull moment. When she is not working, Brooke is out traveling, reading, gaming, hiking, longboarding, and spending time with family and friends. She also does some wood burning for fun.
Tim is the newest superhero on the IT Service Delivery team, joining us just this month. He considers himself a lifelong learner, enjoys working with and learning about technology, and is passionate about helping people. He comes to us with an extensive background in education. Tim was a Field Technician with Thompson School District in Loveland for the past three years and prior to that role he was an elementary and middle school teacher. A favorite story he shared is “I had a student who was very tired during independent reading. He had his head down on his book. When I got his attention, he looked up at me, looked around, quickly said ‘Amen’, and started reading. It was amazing.”
